Guards, Case Workers, & Wardens

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.  Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. – Romans 13:1-2

Guards, Caseworkers, Wardens, most of them are no better than the prisoners they watch over.  I have seen them handcuff an inmate and 4 or 5 of them beat him down while he is handcuffed.  I have seen them bring in drugs to prisoners.  I have seen them play favoritism for money from outside. I have seen them pit one prisoner against another for the fun of it.  Not all of them are like that mind you, but a whole lot of them are.

Since there are more prisoners than there are guards.  A lot of guards like to use a technique called confusion therapy.  They try to pit one convict against another.  As long as they can keep prisoners fighting amongst themselves, there is less focus on them and therefore it gives the guard better control.

Get one thing straight.  NONE of them LIKE you in there.  If you think they do, you got a rude awakening coming.  They might PRETEND to like you if they think they can manipulate you or get some information out of you.  However, as soon as they get what they need, they will toss you aside like a piece of garbage.

Yet, like it or not, they are in authority over you.  God put them in authority for a reason.  Exactly why is not for you to know, only God knows why.

When I was in there, I did not get close to a guard.  I did what they told me and that was it.  It is best if you do the same.  You may not like it, I sure didn’t, but lets not forget that the guard did not put you in prison. You did that yourself.

Rebelling against authority is the main reason you are in there.  The law said do not steal, some of you stole.  The law said do not do or deal in drugs, some of  you did that.  The law said not to hurt or kill another human being, some of you did that too.  The law says not to kidnap or rape and some of you even did that.  The law of society was AUTHORITY and you rebelled against it, and as the above verses state, you brought judgement upon yourself.

Be a saved Christian in there. If the guard says mop the dorm, mop it.  If he says roll in on your bunks, roll in.  Don’t whine, cry and complain about it, just do it.  You do not have to LIKE the authority in there, but you do have to respect and obey it.

You will find your time will go much easier and when you get out you will find yourself respecting and obeying the laws of society rather than fighting and rebelling against it.
